The Stay Dry brand is Boots own brand of incontinence products and are available both in any Boots store and online at boots.ie, This made the brand appealing to me, occasionally I'd run out of nappies and it seemed handy to have a local store stock a product like I was using.

On the packet it gives the product 10 out 10 'droplets' indicating that this is the highest absorbency they  have for this product. It also claim to be 'equivalent to Attends', which I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing to compare to, 12 years ago while in America the Attends brand was shockingly  bad!

On first look the nappy is white and seems to be bulky enough to absorb a good amount. The backing is a soft plastic and doesn't make too much noise. Though when opened out flat I see that it is a combination of cloth sides and the plastic front and back panels, in my opinion, 'not' a good combination! The interior of the nappy seems to be extremely light  as well. it does claim to be for 'heavy bladder and bowel' weakness.

On putting on the medium to large version of this nappy I found it to be too light for heavy bladder control issues and after an hour it had leaked in the crotch area. Also the medium size doesn't contain bowel motion very well either as it seems to move about a lot because of the waist band being cloth-like and it doesn't cover the whole of the bottom area properly which allowed stool to leak out the sides before I could find a place to change.

So I bought the extra large version, which is the nappy I am wearing in the pictures on the left.

Because of the addition size of this product both in the back and in the front, the absorption is slightly better and it covers the appropriate areas better also. what really lets this nappy down is the cloth-like side panels, they allow the nappy to move around too much therefore it isn't secure at all, and also you cannot get a good fit either.

Pros

Very comfortable to wear

Because Boots is local in most towns, it makes it a handy place If you run out of nappies.

Cons

Poor containment because of the cloth-like  side panels.

Very hard to get a good fit as the sizing is too broad, 'medium to large' covers a lot of ground!

Doesn't absorb a lot, therefore you need to change every  hour or so, and that can be expensive.
